YMCA of Sequim Scout Troops 1498 & 7498
Thank you for your interest in Scouting. We provide youth with a positive place to learn and grow while being challenged. If you are interested in our troop, we welcome you to join us at our Thursday meetings. We are located in Sequim, Washington on the Northern base of the Olympic Mountains.
We meet on Thursday evenings from 6:15-7:45 at the Elks Lodge 2642 @ 143 Port Williams Rd. To contact us, email bsa14987498@gmail.com.
The Vision of Troops 1498 & 7498
To provide all eligible youth opportunities for leadership, personal growth, goal setting, and skills development while maintaining the highest standards of BSA. For youth to demonstrate independence, responsibility, and teamwork skills by using the Scout Oath and Law as their guide.
Our Scouts
The youth in our troop range in age from 11-17 years old. We have two troops (male & female), divided into patrols based on age. Our active troops do many adventurous wilderness campouts as well as offering opportunities to experience a wide variety of activities. We emphasize school work and involvement in things outside of Scouting as a part of being a well-rounded person. These experiences bring a variety of skills to the troop as a whole. We enjoy having diversity within our membership. Our troop provides a Trail to Eagle Scout, yet each Scout is expected to determine if they are ready for the climb to Scouting’s Highest award.
