Troop Charter
BSA Troop 389 was formed in February 2003. Troop 389 is sponsored by Rotary Club of Yuba City.
Troop 389 is a "scout-led" troop, focusing on developing youth leadership by giving the scouts responsibility for managing many of their activities.
We follow the BSA "Patrol Method." Troop 389 has four Patrols, one of which is a National Honor Patrol.
Troop 389 also has strong adult leadership. Our scoutmasters work directly with the boys at meetings and campouts. Our troop committee meets every month to manage the troop finances and guide the troop's direction.
Troop 389 is committed to participate in at least one outdoor activity per month (usually more!). Our Troop enjoys a lot of car-camping, backpacking, day hikes, and canoe-camping.
