WELCOME TO TROOP 772 Our troop meetings are held on Monday nights, normally at Desert Sky Middle School at 9850 E. Rankin Loop in Rita Ranch. Troop 772 was established in Rita Ranch in 2000, and serves South-Eastern Tucson, Vail, and the surrounding communities. Our Chartered Organization is The Episcopal Church of St Matthew. We range in size from 20-30 Scouts and generally have 3-4 patrols.
Our Scouting program is designed so that boys who actively participate and apply themselves will have the opportunity to advance through the ranks as high as their motivation takes them. Our program gives Scouts the opportunity to learn the skills and self confidence they need to achieve their goals.
The troop strives to live by the Scout oath and law through its numerous activities. Our goal is to be an active troop that incorporates the traditional Scouting methods with regular, age appropriate activities including hiking, canoeing, backpacking, and summer camp. Our Scouts schedule and plan activities, including monthly camping trips, community service projects, family outings, and merit badge classes. Adults mentor the Scouts and oversee safety, but the boys plan meetings, make decisions, and carry out tasks. The results are not always pretty, but the boys learn and everyone is safe and has fun.
Eagle is the highest rank in Scouting - only four percent of Scouts earn this rank. Advancement to Eagle throughout our troop's history has been outstanding, easily surpassing the national average. The challenge to attain this rank is given to each Scout as a means to build his personal foundation into becoming a contributing adult in our increasingly complicated society.

Scouting is for parents too! Active, committed parents and volunteers are essential to the success of our Troop. You don't need any special abilities to make a huge difference in a young man's life. We invite all our parents to support the troop in a way that best suits their family. However you choose to help, you will be part of an amazing organization that will shape the lives of our boys as they turn into young men before our very eyes!
