Girls Troop 736!

We offer opportunities for leadership, citizenship, and outdoor skills to girls in the Richmond area. Our Scout-led troop relies on the Patrol Method to deliver a program to help girls learn scouting, camping and leadership skills all while having fun and making friends.

We meet Thursdays from 7:00-8:30pm safely in-person at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Glen Allen, Virginia. We prioritize meeting outdoors (weather permitting). We plan at least one outdoor troop activity a month, and our patrols often plan additional activities as well.

Despite the pandemic, we have kept the weekend activities coming with camping trips, rifle and archery activities, merit badge programs, ropes and ziplining courses, and more. And three of our founding members were part of the BSA’s Inaugural Class of female Eagle Scouts in 2021. Girls must be at least 11 years old and have completed the fifth grade to join unless they have earned their Arrow of Light award as a Webelos in Cub Scouts.
