Troop 91 is chartered by Linton Hall School. So it is understandable that the troop has a Catholic nature. However, the troop will always welcome boys of other faith traditions. We welcome all and encourage all to live their respective faiths to the fullest extent.

The founder of Boy Scouts, Lord Baden-Powell knew the key to a successful Scouting unit is a boy-led and adult supported troop using the patrol method. Troop 91’s foundation is therefore built upon this “boy run troop” principle. Boys learn both through their success and failure, and so it is the case here. The boys’ fellow scout and adult leaders provide the guidance for the Scout to develop the skills and experiences that will shape their character.

It is the responsibility of the adult leadership to guide the boys and provide the example. The troop adult leadership therefore provides a positive environment where success and failure are recognized as equally useful in developing the confidence to continue on to success.

Welcome to Troop 91!
