Welcome To BSA Troop 498 Website!
Troop 498, chartered over 25 years, active award-winning Troop, purpose is to provide our community's youth with a fun-filled organization that teaches them self-discipline, the importance of service to others, and values-based leadership skills. As a scout-led troop, our youth learn by owning the program and leading its members. Our troop is rich with adult advisors, parents, and volunteers that assist our youth in growing, funding, and operating the troop.
Troop 498 B consists of boys between the ages of 11 and 18.

We currently have an active and growing Boys & Girls Troop, and are always looking for new members to join. Reach out to us for more information. Our Troop has a high rate of our Scouts reaching and succeeding to Eagle Scout!
Our Troop camps out monthly (with the exception of summer and holidays) at varies locations surrounding San Antonio. Each summer our scouts attend regular Summer Camps and High-Adventures Camps.
Visitors and new Scouts are ALWAYS welcome to join us!
