Every summer involves summer camp or a High Adventure opportunity. Recently, the Troop went to New River Gorge in West Virginia for a week long program of white water rafting, water themed adventures, and so much more. Next summer Scouts are heading to the Florida Keys Sea Base program for a week of Island Survival. Past trips have included going to Haliburton Scout Reservation in Ontario, Canada for weeklong program of camping, fishing, canoeing, and snorkeling.  Each year most of the Troop is attending summer camp at either Resica Falls or Goose Island for a week focused on merit badges and fun. The troop also attends the National Scout Jamboree every four years. The next one is happening in the summer of 2026.

Each summer the Scouts of Troop 112 spend a week in Resica Falls Scout Reservation to work on scout skills, merit badges, cooking, camping and plenty of fun, outdoor activities. Every other year is High Adventure time, with Jamboree or other activity.  Our annual ski trip to Elk Mountain is one of the most popular events of the year.

Some of the other activities we particpate in throughout the year include camping, canoeing, fishing, swimming, backpacking, hiking, climbing, geocaching, whitewater rafting, and learning outdoor saefty and survival. We also work together on earning merit badges in everything from aviation to chess to wilderness survival.  We also participate in community involvement including the Memorial Day Observance and July 4th Parade.  Community service is also importnat to us.  We help with Eagle Scout projects and more.

We also sell wreaths each November and December to raise money for our troop dues and to help pay for trips.
