At BSA Troop 417, scouts lead our operations, embodying the spirit of self-reliance and leadership. As a scout-led troop, we empower our scouts to unlock their potential and become great leaders. Proudly sponsored by St. John's Episcopal Church, we are dedicated to supporting our Charter Organization in serving the community. Troop 417 has a deep-rooted history in scouting and the Roseville community, with generations of scouts contributing to our rich legacy.
Our regular monthly outings are not just routine activities but opportunities for adventure and personal growth. From hiking through rugged trails to learning essential survival skills, each outing presents scouts with exciting challenges that test their abilities and foster camaraderie. These experiences instill confidence, resilience, and a deep appreciation for nature and teamwork.
Beyond our local adventures, Troop 417 is committed to broader service and exploration. We take pride in continuing the tradition of being one of the few troops in Placer County to attend High Adventure expeditions every summer. These expeditions offer unique opportunities for scouts to explore new environments, push their limits, and develop invaluable life skills.
Through our dedication to service and adventure, Troop 417 strives to shape well-rounded individuals who are not only capable leaders but also compassionate and adventurous citizens. Our troop is a community where scouts grow, learn, and forge lifelong friendships, making lasting contributions to both scouting and society.
