Age requirements for Boy Scouts are: Be a boy who has completed the fifth grade and be at least 10 years old, or be 11 years old, or have earned the Arrow of Light Award and be at least 10 years old, and be under 18 years old. No cub scout experience required or preferred. This is not like cub scouts.

Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers

Youth Protection training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer’s Youth Protection training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered.
