Welcome to Troop 8888!

The Bloomington-Normal Sunrise Rotary Club charters Troop 8888. It is among the first and oldest non-linked (female only) Scouts BSA troop in the W.D. Boyce Council. It was formed to ensure our scouts can be as free as possible to find their own leadership style and advancement paths and have their own type of fun. Any female aged 10 - 17 is welcome to join Troop 8888!

• Troop Activities (skiing, lock-ins, etc.)
• Service Projects
• Fun Weekly Meetings

The troop carefully adheres to all National Scouting policies, especially Youth Protection, which is required of all adult leaders and parents.

Scouts, Parents, and Volunteers

The success of Troop 8888 depends on the involvement and commitment of our Scout parents and adult volunteers! There are many opportunities for formal and informal participation in your Scouts experience. Please reach out if you are interested in participating in Scouts, big or small!

In addition, the troop relies on a dedicated committee to coordinate everything behind the scenes. The troop is always looking to fill all available roles and does not typically require a large time commitment. If you are interested, please reach out!
