About Our Troop

About Troop 35

Troop 35 was established in 1969 and is a boy-led troop chartered by University Presbyterian Church in Fresno. Our goal is to meet each youth’s need through the simple recreational activities of troop meetings and camping trips. The Boy Scouts of America has definite and specific methods to reach the goal of youth development. These methods include: Scouting ideals, the patrol system, advancement, outdoor programs, leadership opportunities, strong adult leadership, and personal growth.

Each month, the troop goes on at least one outing.  Some of the more common excursions are camping, hiking or backpacking.  Troop 35 also attends Camp Chawanakee for a week in the summer.
