Troop Meetings

Day, Time and Place

Our meeting place is the Scout Room (room 15) at University Presbyterian Church located on the northwest corner of the church complex. The address is 1776 East Robert Ave in Fresno. Meetings are held every Monday night, except for a few days as designated on the troop calendar. The meeting begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. Senior Scouts and Patrol Leaders may be asked to stay 5 to 10 minutes after the close of the meeting in order to review the program for the next meeting. It is recommended that all Scouts arrive at least 10 minutes early to set up the meeting place. In consideration of the adult volunteer leaders who also have family commitments, we ask that you pick up your youth within 5 minutes after the close of the meeting.

What to Bring

Youth are encouraged to own his share of responsibility by taking an active part in all patrol and troop meetings. Be sure that he brings his Boy Scout Handbook, a pencil/pen, and a notebook to every meeting. He will be given valuable information at these meetings, which he needs to note down as well as keep you informed. This basic responsibility will help him to grow in Scouting and show spirit towards his troop by his willingness to learn. Cell phones should be placed on silent as they are not to be used during the meeting.

Meeting Activities

Troop meetings are planned and conducted by the youth leaders under the coaching and guidance of the Scoutmaster. This is part of the plan to help your youth to grow, to make decisions, and to take an active part in making the troop program successful.
